Friends, anytime there is unity for the sake of the greater good and togetherness at all costs, instead of God’s glory, we are at Babel.
Spiritual deception
Bible prophecy is being attacked from within the church by professing believers. Let’s take a closer look at the deception currently infiltrating the church that Jesus and the apostles warned us would come.
Much of the popular preaching and teaching about God in our day portrays him as a soft, mild-mannered Shepherd who doesn’t see our sins through holy eyes but winks at them instead.
Instead of hearing the gospel that leads to heart transformation, many receive confirmation they really aren’t that bad, in fact, they are misled into believing they are pretty good people after all.
A growing number of fellowships are following the course of this world despite repeated warnings to change direction. This is what happens when the church begins embracing the spirit of the age.
You can have a giant flashing screen with the word Jesus, pulsating music, and a light show that rivals all others, but the still small voice desires true worship.
Mormons are (not) Christians and we cannot engage in Christian fellowship just because they name the name of Jesus. They represent a different Jesus. We should reach out to them in love and be a bold witness for the gospel and Jesus.
The way the world disrespects the Lord comes as no surprise. What is becoming more prevalent in evangelical Christian circles is a cavalier attitude toward the first and second persons of the trinity. This attitude has no place in the life of a Christian. If we could see a veiled glimpse of God’s glory as Moses or the apostle John did, we’d loose the disrespect and fall on our faces in complete reverent worship.
