A person’s average attention span is 8.25 seconds. Jesus warns us about the days ahead getting so bad, that people’s hearts will fail them because of fear of what’s coming. God will get the world’s attention.

What I’m aiming for is a holy sense of urgency. Roughly 175,000 people die and go into eternity every day. People’s souls are literally hanging in the balance between heaven and hell. We don’t have a moment to waste.
Much of the popular preaching and teaching about God in our day portrays him as a soft, mild-mannered Shepherd who doesn’t see our sins through holy eyes but winks at them instead.
God doesn’t want us to feel better about ourselves, but to have a realistic view of how wretched we really are. Unfortunately, many people are being led astray by churches and leaders who are presenting a different Jesus to the world.
A growing number of fellowships are following the course of this world despite repeated warnings to change direction. This is what happens when the church begins embracing the spirit of the age.
The biblical mandate is to go to all nations and make disciples, but too many of our churches and leadership are content with romancing the world.
Preaching a different gospel, that was the very thing Paul warns against. A different gospel seeking the approval of man….not God.
